The view from Swanvale, across the USA.
This is the first of two entries looking at the View from Swanvale’s visit to the USA, with snapshots of some of the places visited,
First stop was Venice Beach, with a lifeguard scene straight out of Baywatch.

And just up from there is Muscle Beach, the place Arnold Schwarzenegger started getting big.

But no trip to Los Angeles is complete with a trip to Hollywood.

But at the same time the View from Swanvale was in Los Angeles, Michael Jackson was being buried, or interned, or something. Best place to watch it was at Venice Beach, on TV.

But while in LA the View from Swanvale took a quick sidetrip to Long Beach, and the Queen Mary.

Very Impressive.
The next stop, Washington DC.

But after a stop in Las Vegas, it was on to Buckeye Arizona, for no other reason than I wanted to stay in a town called Buckeye.

Arizona has no shortage of desert.

And right at the bottom of the state is Tombstone. The site of the Gunfight at the OK Corral. Which like all places of national signifigance, now has a re-creation.

And if you’re a fan of aircraft, then the Pima Air & Space Museum outside Tucson is worth a look.

Next stop, Route 66.
