A doof doof New Year
As the sun sets on the first day of 2010, I’m sitting here listening to the doof doof beats of the music festival underway at Melbourne’s Myer Music Bowl.
Now it might be the overcast weather, but I think it’s the volume, because while I’m around seven kilometres from the bowl, I can hear the beat loud and clear! Not clear enough to dance to, but distinct enough.
Doesn’t worry me to much, but I’ll read tomorrow’s paper with an eye out to the cplaints of the city’s senior citizens.
But if you think about, a new year starting with a dance beat is a good sign?
